I’m so glad you’ve stepped into this nurturing leadership space. I absolutely love exploring and developing leadership both my own and, most importantly, helping others do the same. But probably not in the way you’d expect.

Growing up, I was taught that leadership was all about climbing the corporate ladder. While that’s one lens of leadership, there are so many others. It’s about seeing yourself as a leader in all aspects of life whether that’s leading change, your family, your culture, or your lifestyle. Leadership is within everyone.

As a Leadership Mentor, I’m here for it all. Fostering leadership is my jam, and right here, you’ll find resources and guidance to help you recognize, develop, and nurture your own unique leadership style. I don’t believe in “cookie-cutter” approaches, what I do stand for is disrupting norms, finding new ways to do things, and creating space for YOU to lead in your way.

So, who am I?

Born in Edinburgh and raised in the Scottish Borders, I’m the eldest of four and grew up with a lot of responsibility—leading my family through some tough times. In my late 20s, I reclaimed a bit of that time by gallivanting around the globe, letting the child in me take the lead!

Academically, I earned a BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling & Psychotherapy and a Certificate in Transformational Coaching. Professionally, my care for helping people led me into Social Services for over a decade, advocating & supporting all kinds of wonderful humans to lead the kind of life that was most important to them and who overcame challenges that, to this day, still blow me away.

While living in Aotearoa (NZ), I led teams in the non-profit sector and discovered my passion for guiding people to break free from traditional leadership molds. It’s about helping others shape leadership that’s true to who they are. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring people across various industries—from those just beginning to recognize their leadership potential to seasoned leaders feeling worn out, stuck and seeking meaningful change.

As you’ve probably noticed, we do things differently here. Away from the endless scroll and algorithms of social media, this space is intentional. It’s where we come to nurture, contribute, and learn from each other. I value your time and focus, as well as my own, so I’ve chosen to place my energy here, rather than on other platforms. Substack feels like a more intentional space for learning, writing, and community, and I hope it feels that way for you too.
